As part of our series on Historic Victoria Advertisements, Movies & Theatre, 1920-1929 here is a 1926 advertisement for The Waning Sex, starring Norma Shearer, at the Dominion Theatre, 816 Yates Street (now demolished). Notice the extra features on the playbill: live musical entertainment, The Dominion Capitolians; Handley Wells at the organ; a second movie: the “comedy special, Your Husband’s Past, followed by Dominion International News.
