As part of our series on Historic Victoria Advertisements, Women’s Clothing, 1910-1919, here is a 1911 advertisement for Angus Campbell & Co., “The Ladies Store” which operated from the Promis Block, 1010 Government Street, for over three decades.
This advertisement focuses on Corsets, a standard women’s clothing accessory at that time.

Angus Campbell & Co. was located in the Promis Block, 1008-1010 Government Street, which is still standing today.
