As part of our series on Historic Victoria Advertisements, Men’s Clothing, 1910-1919, here is a 1912 advertisement for W. & J. Wilson, which is still in business at 1221 Government Street.

W. & J. Wilson is still in business at 1221 Government Street. It was founded in 1862 and has been in business at the same location ever since.

Burberry is also still in business and has been since it was founded in 1856. We have contacted Burberry for more information on its Equipede coats and the “great Generals whose names are household words throughout the world [who] enthusiastically commended them…”
