Here is a 1909 advertisement for the then newly subdivided lots in the area bordered by Fairfield Road to the north, Cook Street on the west, Oscar Street on the south and Linden Avenue on the east.

The lot at the corner of Fairfield Road and Cook Street is 451 Cook Street.

Notice the “Tram Line” on Cook Street. This was for the street cars which ran in Victoria until 1948.
