It was originally built in 1931 by architect Eric C. Clarkson for the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans club.

1001 Wharf Street was originally built in 1931 by architect Eric C. Clarkson for the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans club.

In 1985 it underwent a renovation in which the original windows were replaced and the original window openings enlarged.
