Historic Victoria Advertisements
Businesses / Music 1910-1919
As part of our series on Historic Victoria Advertisements, Businesses / Music, 1910-1919 , here is a 1914 advertisement for Victrola, available at the Gideon Hicks Piano Company, located in the Metropolitan Building, 809-817 Government Street.
Notice that this advertisement is about the desirability of phonograph record players on boats. That might work while the boast is docked but a phonograph is unlikely to work well on a boat in anything but the smoothest waters.
