As part of our series on Historic Victoria Advertisements, Automobiles & Transportation, 1930-1939, here is a 1931 advertisement for CCM bicycles, then available in Victoria at the Hudson’s Bay Company, 1701 Douglas Street, Plimley & Ritchie, in the now demolished Arcade Building, (Government Street at View Street) and Peden Brothers, 1410-1412 Douglas Street.

In 1931 the Hudson’s Bay Company department store was in what is now The Hudson, 1701 Douglas Street. The bicycle department was on the 3rd floor.
