As part of our series on Historic Victoria Advertisements, Food & Groceries, 1910-1919, here is a 1910 advertisement by the Ideal Meat Market, 620 Yates Street.
Notice the advertisement’s description of the butcher actually cutting the meat in front of the customer and the picture showing meat actually hanging behind the counter and a chopping block on the counter, things we typically do not see today.
