Fisgard Street – 500 Block

532-539 Fisgard Street

This Heritage building at 532-536 Fisgard Street was built circa 1890 for Micheal Hart, who also built the Hart’s Block at 529-539 Herald Street in 1891, directly north of, and backing onto this building. In 1912, the Quan Yuen Yen building at 532 1/2 Fisgard Street, was built as tenements (they’re condominiums now) on the land between Hart’s Fisgard building and the Hart Block on Herald Street. This buildings are now connected by a common passageway called Blood Alley running between 532-536 Fisgard Street and 529-539 Herald Street.
